Jim started OceanRock Capital in 2020 after 18 years at The Riverside Company, a middle-market private equity Fund with $10B under management. While at Riverside, Jim sourced and closed in excess of 50 acquisitions and deployed over $1Billion of equity capital.
Prior to Riverside, Jim passionately worked with entrepreneurs, helping them explore buy-out and growth capital options while at Raymond James Capital. Earlier in his career Jim developed an expertise in corporate liquidity management sales and consultation to Fortune 250 companies while within the global finance group at First Chicago NYC (JP Morgan) and NationsBank Atlanta (Bank of America.)Jim holds a holds a BA from the University of Notre Dame (GO IRISH!) and an MBA from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business.
Jim resides in Charleston, South Carolina, has been married for 20 years to Anna and together they are raising a daughter and son – by far their greatest source of joy.
Kevin francis
Senior Partner
Kevin joined OceanRock in 2020 after 25 years at Accenture, a market leading professional services firm. In his last ten years at Accenture, Kevin was the global CFO of several strategic growth businesses of Accenture.
These included Interactive, Analytics, Digital and most recently Cyber Security. As the CFO for these global business segments, he guided these to achieve double digit year-on-year growth for the last ten years. This included deploying over one billion in capital and integrating over thirty acquisitions. These businesses have changed the investor narrative for Accenture, bringing the market value to over $100B in this timeframe.
Prior career experience across a broad range of financial, commercial, operational and value architect roles. Kevin earned his BA from the University of Notre Dame with a four-year ArmyROTC scholarship, and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University. Kevin resides in Morristown, New Jersey, has been married for 18 years and often he and family enjoy their favorite vacation spot, Montauk, Long Island.
